JSC Russian Railways has a strong international presence, which means that it needs professional linguists who are proficient in a wide range of languages — from English, German, and Arabic to Japanese and even Burmese. Russian Translation Company provides interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive) services at key Russian Railways events, as well as technical translations. We are also Russian Railways’ go-to translation company when they need financial documents, contracts, letters, minutes of meetings of the International Union of Railways, and other texts translated and edited. We have even had occasion to conduct tours for foreign guests using tour-guide radio equipment.
Russian Translation Company started working with Russian Railways way back in 2008 when we provided interpretation services at two regional conferences of the World Public Forum — Dialogue of Civilizations (in Bahrain and Canada) attended by Russian Railways executives. RZD’s Department for International Cooperation was so impressed with the professionalism of our interpreters and the prompt and competent manner in which we handled mini-crises that we became a permanent provider of translation services for the Russian Railways monopoly in 2009.
Our interpreters are ready to travel at the drop of a hat — Russian Railways often holds negotiations, conferences, and technical meetings all over the country. We have provided simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services at dozens of business meetings and seminars in Asia, America, and Europe. For off-site events, Russian Translation Company selects professional translators who are based in the place where the event is taking place, or organize business trips for our Moscow-based employees who work with Russian Railways on a regular basis.

In 2008, we provided consecutive interpretation services for the Russian Railways Cup football tournament that was contested by Lokomotiv Moscow, AC Milan, Sevilla, and Chelsea. Our experts translated the commentary, pre- and post-match interviews, and the post-match press conference.
COLPOFER General Assembly
The 66th COLPOFER (Collaboration of Railway Police and Security Services) General Assembly took place in 2017. The event was held at the Tsarskaya Tower Exhibition Hall at Kazan Railway Station in Moscow — not exactly the easiest place to hold such an event from the point of view of acoustics, as the place is small and echoey. But our engineers were up to the task and were able to fit the hall with conference systems and Bosch simultaneous interpretation equipment. Russian Translation Company provided simultaneous interpretation at the event into Russian, English, Italian, German, and French.
