We translate the meaning,
not just the words.
We provide translation and interpretation services and technical equipment for conferences. We believe in human translation – building relationships between people should not be left to a soulless machine.

Russian Translation Company (RPK)

was founded in 2008 by a group of professional translators with the goal of becoming a shining light in an increasingly saturated language services market. Our team of self-admitted nitpickers has a deep understanding of the topics at hand, dots all the i’s and crosses all the t’s, prepares meticulously for events, and truly cares about clients.
We can be reached at any time and are happy to offer a full range of services — from translation to text layout, to technical equipment for conferences

What We Offer

We provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services for conferences, business negotiations, interviews, ceremonies and other events. We regularly work at large-scale forums attended by high-ranking state officials and corporate executives.

We provide simultaneous interpretation equipment, sound amplification equipment and video projectors. We also offer assistance in multi-channel broadcasts, audio recording, and video services. We work on-site, remotely, and in hybrid formats.

We provide translations that are not only true to the original, but also beautifully written, as well as editing and proofreading services. We also offer text layout services and provide transcriptions of audio and video recordings. Every text is proofread by editors who are native speakers and well-versed in the topics at hand. It’s not good when it’s done, it’s done when it’s good!

We share our knowledge and experience with in-house translators at various companies, as well as with individual clients. We improve the professional communication skills, memory, speech, note-taking, and etiquette of translators. And we work in many languages besides English.

Why Choose Us?

  • We only work with the best professional translators who are well-versed in the subject matter at hand. But our work does not end there.

Clients are assigned their own personal coordinator — a professional linguist who goes above and beyond to make sure that your translation needs are met and is always on the same page as your in-house translation department.

All texts are edited by professional editors who are native speakers of the target language and further checked by proofreaders. Not only do they correct grammatical errors and stylistic mistakes, but they also get rid of typos and other typographical issues. Layout designers and industry experts are also involved in the work when necessary.

  • In addition to interpretation and translation, Russian Translation Company offers a range of related services: rental of simultaneous interpretation equipment and other devices; online broadcasts; audio and video recording; editing and proofreading; and graphic design and layout.

Offering a full range of services saves the client time that would otherwise be spent seeking out and keeping on top of the work of multiple contractors. Russian Translation Company is thus a single responsibility centre: all information is handled in-house, which allows us to ensure that our work is coherent and cohesive, and the solutions we propose consistent and compatible.

This approach also helps us to optimize price quotes and reduce the amount of paperwork.

  • We have clients all over the world, or who work irregular hours. Even those who work the usual nine-to-five, Monday to Friday, sometimes need a document translated over the weekend, to be delivered first thing Monday morning.

This is why you can get in touch with us at any time of the day. While, strictly speaking, our office hours are between 8am and 10pm Moscow time, and you can reach us by email, phone, and fax during those hours, our translation coordinators work in shifts and are available by phone the rest of the time.

Our translators and editors live in various time zones and come from different cultural backgrounds. We have even completed rush translations on New Year’s Eve!

  • While we are based in Moscow, this does not prevent us from providing translation services throughout Russia and beyond. We have top-class professional translators and interpreters in cities across Russia, as well as in Asia, the Americas, Europe, and the CIS, not to mention partners who are ready to provide simultaneous interpretation equipment.

We can also arrange for interpreters and engineers to travel and transport equipment to other cities and countries. We have contracts with two travel agencies that operate 24 hours a day. We take care of booking tickets, hotels, transfers, and meals, and then include this in the invoice without any additional charges.

  • When drawing up estimates, we try to be as transparent as possible, and our invoices are fully itemized.

Unforeseen situations often arise at events: they might run over time; last-minute updates might emerge. We make it clear from the very beginning how such changes will affect the price. In other words, there will be no nasty surprises in the final estimate. Any additional expenses (tickets, hotels, taxis, and so on) are agreed upon with the client in advance and included in the estimate without any additional charges.

The cost of a written translation is calculated based on the number of words in the source text. This way, the client knows the final cost before the work begins.

  • We know from experience how important it is to keep confidential information confidential. We work with law firms and major corporations for whom confidentiality is vital. When a client gives us a document to translate, the only people who see that document are the people who are directly involved in translating it. It also happens that certain texts cannot be sent to another country for legal reasons (this can prove tricky, given that we work with native speakers). We have also had occasion to translate hardcopy documents on computers that have to be disconnected from the internet.

We conclude individual non-disclosure agreements with all our employees, both in-house and freelance, that are valid for several years beyond the term of our cooperation.

  • All Russian Translation Company employees who attend your events (interpreters, engineers, coordinators, etc.) are required to dress accordingly — in business-style clothing. Of course, there are situations where jeans and a t-shirt, or even an evening dress, would be more appropriate, but only if the client agrees to this or suggests it themselves.

Knowing how to act in various social situations is sometimes just as important for the interpreter as his or her knowledge of a given language. This is why it is crucial for us to know our personnel well — both professionally and personally. We have every confidence in our people!

In 2010, Russian Translation Company founded the Future Actually Registered Charity, which gives professional translators the opportunity to offer their knowledge and skills to help charitable organizations. Future Actually is the first pro bono translators’ community in Russia. Working with Russian Translation Company, you are making the world that little bit better.
