Our first Atomexpo Forum was in Sochi in 2018. In the run-up to the event, we worked closely with Rosatom’s translation department to compile and approve a glossary of the company’s various divisions and power plants. The glossary was then sent to all interpreters, translators, and editors. As for a glossary of nuclear terminology, we were covered: all the interpreters and translators involved in the project had experience in the atomic energy industry. In the years since, RPK has regularly sent up to 40 interpreters with a wide variety of languages, including Arabic, Armenian, Chinese, English, French, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish, to work at the Forum.

In addition to this, we have provided translation and interpretation services at other Rosatom events, including:

  • AtomEx
  • Composites without Borders
  • The 65th anniversary celebrations of the first nuclear power plant in Obninsk
  • The opening ceremony of an updated exhibition at the First Nuclear Power Plant in the World museum.

Not by Nuke Alone

In 2023, Atomexpo was selected to organize the Made in Russia International Export Forum, where RPK has been working since 2022. That year, the forum involved over 30 Arabic, Chinese, English, and Farsi interpreters.

In the spring of 2025, we received an unexpected request from Atomexpo. The InterMuseum International Museum Festival was due to start the following week and they desperately needed interpreters. Within a few days, Russian Translation Company had put together a team of 38 simultaneous interpreters working in ten languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, and Turkish. Sessions ran simultaneously in five Moscow museums, which was a challenge of its own, as our projects managers and interpreters had to dash from venue to venue...

For over 25 years, Atomexpo has been organizing events for Rosatom State Corporation and other government and corporate clients, as well as for international organizations and NGOs.

RPK provided language support at other «non-nuclear» events organized by Atomexpo:

  • The First Arctic Media Congress and Accessible Arctic Forum
  • COVID-19, Thrombosis and Thromboembolism International Online Conference
  • International One Health Symposium
  • Anniversary of the Legal Studies Institute.

World Atomic Week

The largest event organized by Atomexpo to date is undoubtedly the 2025 World Atomic Week, which was attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the heads of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the World Nuclear Association (WNA), and senior officials from Armenia, Belarus, Ethiopia, Iran, Myanmar, Niger, and Uzbekistan.

Russian Translation Company engaged over 60 interpreters working in 10 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Hungarian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese for the event. We also had Myanmar and Farsi interpreters on hand, but the delegations brought their own interpreters. RPK provided simultaneous and consecutive interpretation of the business and youth programmes, press conferences, interviews, and ceremonies, as well as urgent translation of press releases.
